Seahawks go all college navy for Week 9 home game against the Cardinals
Seattle will wear college navy from helmet to pants when it hosts Arizona on Sunday, and the Seahawks are 8.5-point favorites coming off a loss to Chicago.

The Seattle Seahawks will be dressed in navy from head to toe when the Arizona Cardinals visit Lumen Field on Sunday. ESPN's Week 9 uniform roundup has Seattle in college navy helmets, jerseys and pants. Arizona will be in all white, helmet to pants.
The team confirmed the combination on Seahawks.com. Seattle has worn the all-navy look at least twice before this season, including in Week 4. NBC Chicago's league-wide uniform guide shows the same matchup. The Eagles' Kelly Green throwbacks and the Chargers' "Super Chargers" navy alternates got most of the week's attention. ESPN also pointed back to Seattle's Week 6 Thursday night game in Denver, where both teams wore throwbacks, as an earlier example of a throwback-versus-throwback matchup this season.
The Seahawks last wore the full navy set in Week 4 and beat the Los Angeles Chargers 30-23. The last two games went differently. Seattle wore college navy jerseys with wolf grey pants for the Monday night game against Chicago and lost 34-17. That was the most points the Seahawks have allowed this season.
What it means for Sunday
The uniforms are the only real news here. The game itself carries more weight. Seattle is 4-4 and has lost three of its last five. That stretch includes a 32-29 home loss to San Francisco and a 17-14 loss at Denver. In between, the Seahawks beat Kansas City 20-3, their best defensive game of the year. Over eight games they have outscored opponents 185-159, and they are 3-2 at home.
Arizona arrives at 3-5, according to Seahawks.com. These teams met in Week 2, and Seattle won 31-7 in Arizona. That is the Seahawks' widest margin of the season. A win would get Seattle back above .500 at the midpoint, and a home loss to a division rival with a losing record would leave the Seahawks at 4-5.
The market expects a comfortable Seattle win. Across the 12 venues on our board for the game, the Seahawks are favored at -365 on the moneyline at Novig, which pays $27.40 per $100. Arizona is +355 at Novig. The best Cardinals price is DraftKings at +360, only 5 cents away, so the venues barely differ on the outright winner. The sportsbooks' hold on the moneyline runs from 4.0% to 5.3%.
The point spread shows a little more variation. Novig has Seattle at -8.5 at even money (-100). theScore Bet has the best Seahawks number at -8, priced at -115, so you either take a half point more or pay more for it. Arizona is +8.5 at -104 on Novig. The total is 39.5. At Novig, the over is +104 and the under is -108, and FanDuel's -106 is the best under price. That is a low total for a team whose last game produced 51 points. It fits better with Seattle's defense in its wins over Kansas City and New England.
Kickoff is Sunday, November 8, on Fox. Season coverage is on our Seahawks team page.
